Our Video Game Design course provides the basics of game design in a hands-on environment. Students will discover the process of designing and building games using Code.org or Scratch platforms. Students will learn how to be a game designer, design narratives, learn to apply art and animation, programming roles, project teamwork, and how to make a game from beginning to end. During and at the end of the session, students will be in possession of their game projects to share with friends and family. 

Schedule : Weekly - Sat 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM; 5 sessions; starting 6/9/2018, ending 7/7/2018

This course is catered for artists who want to be efficiently and effectively introduced to the art of creating comics and telling a story through sequential art. Students will learn how to develop a style and how it should correlate to their story, the dynamics of panel layout, using space effectively, font selection, color palettes, negative and positive space, as well as pacing and comedic timing. This is an introductory course that can either kick off a student’s creative process or aid in one already started.
