Urban Sketching

Learn to capture urban scenes through drawing and watercolor. Practice perspective, composition, and the use of light and form through guided exercises. Explore pencil, ink, and watercolor as you develop your own approach to sketching the world around you. No previous experience is needed. Returning and continuing students are welcome to keep practicing and developing their skills.

Class exercise mediums include graphite pencils, ink pens, watercolor brush (4-7 will work) and a watercolor set (a basic inexpensive set will work). Required materials for the first meeting are 9"x12" or larger mixed media sketch pad,12” ruler, vinyl eraser, Hb or 2hb pencil. Additional materials discussed at the first meeting.
