« back to classes page

Participants must swim independently and safely, be comfortable in water over their heads without flotation assistance, and share designated lap lanes. Lessons, coaching, and one-on-one supervision are not provided.

PASS & ADMISSION
• A valid individual pass or approved admission is required. A pass covers 10 visits; each admission deducts one visit regardless of swim length.
• Passes may not be shared, transferred, or used to admit another person. Present your pass at every visit. Lost passes will not be replaced.
• Passes expire six (6) months after purchase and are nonrefundable. Unused visits have no cash value and are not eligible for refunds or electronic vouchers.
• ELAC may extend passes, at its discretion, when significant facility closures prevent reasonable use.
• Pick up your pass no later than 7 days after purchase. Pick up is at the Community Services Office in K5 or present your receipt to Community Services pool staff.

ACCESS & SAFETY
• Access is available only during designated lap-swim hours when Community Services aquatic classes are scheduled and actively in session.
• Instructional classes take priority. Lanes are shared; exclusive use is not guaranteed. Follow lane assignments, choose an appropriate swimming speed, and circle swim when required.
• Follow lifeguard/Aquatics staff instructions and posted rules. Proper swimwear and goggles are required. No running, unauthorized diving, horseplay, or unsafe behavior. Do not enter with symptoms of communicable illness. Staff may restrict or remove unsafe swimmers.

CLOSURES
Availability depends on lane capacity, staffing, class schedules, maintenance, water quality, weather, campus events, and operational needs. Hours may change or the pool may close without advance notice. No visit is deducted if the pool closes before admission. Closures do not automatically qualify for refunds.

By purchasing or using a pass, participants acknowledge this independent physical activity and agree to applicable rules, safety instructions, and Community Services policies.
