Through the Community Services Department people can learn new skills, meet new friends, develop hobbies, and participate in recreational and special interest classes. Programs include arts and crafts, music, dance, fitness, sports, educational and career development classes. Classes are offered for nearly every age group from toddlers to seniors.
You can now register for ELAC Community Services classes online. Browse our offerings by clicking “courses” or “search” for a class by course name, course number, location, instructor...etc. If you are a new student click on “sign in” and create a new student profile. If you are registering a child for a class please make sure you create a household profile. Remember your password and use it every time you register for a new class. If you were registered for community services classes before a profile has been created for you already. Simply contact our office at 323-265-8793 and provide us with an e-mail address so that we can send you your login information.
CREDIT CARD INFORMATION: Before entering your credit card information, please make sure you are using a secure browser session (via SSL). For MS-Internet Explorer you would see a lock in the bottom-right portion of your browser session. Always be sure to sign out of the website properly before closing down your browser, or moving to another website, to further protect your privacy. April 8, 9, and 10: Spring 2012 second session classes begin
April 18 - 24: East Los Angeles College Spring Break, no classes
May 28 - 30: Memorial Holiday, no classes, offices closed
SPECIAL NOTICE:
Community Services will no longer offer Children's College at the ELAC Rosemead Center. All Community Services classes have been moved to the ELAC Main Campus.
PARKING PERMITS:
All vehicles parked in a campus parking lot must display a valid permit at all times. Overnight parking is prohibited. C.V.C. Section 21113.(A).. Permits must be properly displayed either hanging from the rear view mirror, facing out, or face up on the driver's side of the dashboard. Improperly displayed permits will result in a citation. A permit does not exempt you from receiving a citation. It is your responsibility to properly display your permit.
Winter and Summer parking permits are FREE for Community Services students. Please request a permit at the time of registration. Fall and Spring permits may be purchased for $10 per semester.
